How to cut a good Short
- Start with the action. The first 2 seconds decide whether people scroll on. Put the start right before the best moment.
- The crop takes the center. In a horizontal game recording that is usually the crosshair and the character, so the key part stays in frame.
- One stream, many Shorts. After downloading, click “Cut another part” and select the next moment right away.
- Always 1080×1920, even from a 720p recording. YouTube gives vertical videos at this resolution better playback quality.

Up to 3 minutes. FeatherClip will not save a longer Short, so YouTube does not treat it as a regular video.
Can I cut straight from an OBS recording?
